CCEO YouthBuild Young Leaders Recognition Luncheon

On Thursday, May 30th CCEO YouthBuild held its first fundraising event, the Young Leaders Recognition Luncheon at the Los Angeles Turners Center just north of LAX.   The California YouthBuild Coalition Annual Government Education Days brought together 200 YouthBuild students to collaborate around enhancing the civic engagement and leadership development of young people in California YouthBuild programs. Greenbuild Expo – San Francisco, CA

The USGBC donated a 30 x 10 foot booth for YouthBuild USA which was outfitted by Freeman Conference Services on a pro bono basis.  This is all evidence of our growing partnership with the US Green Building Council and marks the third year of YouthBuilds’ attendance at Greenbuild.  We hope it will launch partnerships with California YB programs and the regional CA USGBC Chapters.

CCEO YouthBuild Alumnus Chris Moore Volunteers with NCCC

The following article from The Compton Bulletin describes how CCEO YouthBuild Cycle 14 alumnus Chris Moore is currently serving in the National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC). Tufts University Study: YouthBuild Members are Becoming Leaders
